Renshi Terry Zornes (Active)

 
Renshi Terry is a Sr. Instructor 5th Degree Black Belt. Known for his leadership and Bushido, Terry is one of the few that can actually give Soke a "Worry Free" day off.

 

 

O'Sensei Ferd DeSantis (Active)

 
A true testament to your not to old for "Street Defense" is our beloved "Great Grandpa Sensei" Ferd.  He started in his 60's and is still going strong in his 80s'  A third degree Black Belt and a fine example of the Martial Arts Spirit.

 

 

Sensei Cody Chilson (Active)

 
A veteran to the arts at 25, Sensei Cody's hunger for knowledge and eagerness to except challenge is refreshing.  He has made his mark as a valued instructor of Street Defense and now teaches the FCS Kali Club.

 

Sensei Micaela Lopez (Active)

Sensei Micaela Lopez is a true example of what a “Black Belt” should be.  Her 15 years of dedication to our Martial Art has resulted in not only a 2nd Degree Black Belt, but a fine tuned young lady with a balance of “Shin-Gi-Tai” (Moral, Technical, Physical excellence).  With Micaela on board, MAU/Street Defense will surly last for generations to come.  Micaela is like the daughter I never had

Sensei Marco Lazzizzera (Active)

 
Sensei Marco has been training with us at Street Defense since he was three years old. A martial artist most of his life, Marco has gained an unbeaten composure and love for martial arts and it is poured into his teaching. Sensei Marco sets key examples for the future generations of Street Defense. 

 

 

 

 

Sensei Mark Han (Active)


Sensei Mark, also know as "Hurricane Han" in the cage, is a key instructor at Street Defense, and despite his fierce gaze, Sensei Mark has huge heart that is shown through his teachings. But don't let his heart fool you, Sensei Mark is the fastest most flexible 275 pounder in the world!

 

         
 

Sensei Daniel Campisi (Active)


Sensei Daniel is a life-long martial artist, with his roots deeply in traditional, yet practical Asian martial arts.  His humility and love of learning ensures him a place in every class, whether he's instructing or learning.  His mental and technical focus is complimented perfectly by his physical prowess.

 


Sensei Sarah Basco (Active)


Sensei Sarah has been with Street Defense for five years, and has shown a total commitment to the dojo. She is somewhat of a modernist, never the less she can also be found learning and instructing the traditional martial arts as well. Sensei Sarah also really brings the spiritual aspect of martial arts into her classes, and works extremely well with children.

 

 

         

 

 

Sempai Justice (Active)

 Future Soke, Sempai Justice has been training before birth, living out the essence of martial arts in the dojo and at home, Sempai Justice is key example for younger generations.

 

 

 

Sempai Liam Perry (Active)


Sempai Liam is the youngest Sempai at Street defense, and a prodigy to martial arts. His mind's technical mastery allows him to surpass the boundaries of his physical limitations. Sempai Liam is the future generation of Street Defense.

 

 

Sempai Garrett White (Active)

 Sempai at 11 years old Garrett White is one of the most courteous assistant instructors we have, not only is he always employing integrity and honesty in everything he does, he is knowledgeable in multiple arts including MMA, Judo, Karate-Do, Street Defense, Archery and Brazilian Jui-jitsu, not to mention he has been training with us for 8 years.

 

       

 

Kohai Mitchell Vitale(Active) 

Kohai Mitchell is Streetdefense's newest Kohai. He is a talented cross training Martial Artist, holding ranking judo, BJJ, Karate-Do, Streetsdefense and MMA. Mitchell also has a interest in learning Wing Chung, Kung Fu and has been taking seminars in their fields.

 

 

Kohai Bronson Hervey(Active)

Kohai Bronson Hervey has been training for 6 years at Martial Arts University. Holding rank in Karate, Judo, Brazilian Jiu Jistu, Street Defense and MMA. His enthusiastic spirit for just about everything makes training with Bronson never a dull moment and brings out the fun of Martial Arts.

 

                            

 

Instructor Humberto Passos - Oficina Da Capoeira  Internacional - Team Florida (Active)


A student of Mestre Ray's while in growing up in Rio de Janiero, "Mr. H" brings the acrobatic Brazilian art that combines elements of martial arts, music, and dance to MAU.

 

 

MMA Coach Scott Morgan (Active) 

 is Streetdefense's talented cross training Martial Artist, holding ranking judo, BJJ  and MMA.

 
Sensei Walter Garcia (Active)

 Sensei Walter is a karate guru, and is as traditional as they come. His love and knowledge of Karate-Do is shown immensely in his classes , resulting in his students ability to retain knowledge .Sensei Walter is a key instructor when it comes to the true meaning of Karate-Do, Not to mention his 32 years of experience.

 

 

 

Kohai Leela Santella (Inactive)

 
Kohai Leela is the backbone to Street Defense. she handles all the finances and management of the facility

 

Miss Carly Burch  

At 22 years of age Mrs. Carly  currently has the largest number of years under her belt working at streetdefense. Starting when she was only 14 years old, Mrs. Carly is the Key Chief administrative officer and can run circles around any lawyers secretary. Mrs. Carly's dedication to Streetdefense, and her gifted ability to multitask to a "hyper efficient" level, ensures the financial survival of Streetdefense.

 

 
 

Miss Sam Kirby

 Set aside from her excellent business ethics and office skills, Miss Sam is a wonderful staff member and student who aspires to being an instructor. While these two things may contradict each other, Miss Sam is also known as "The Alaskan Assassin" in the cage, and is an undefeated cage fighter. Her philosophical mind allows her to communicate and grow with everyone she encounters, and is a Key family member of Streetdefense when it comes to keeping the spirit of the martial arts alive.

 

Sempai Golan Gilmore (Inactive)
Sempai Golan is a very valuable asset for Street Defense. He is a natural athlete and the has more capabilities than most adults. He moved to the USA from Israel just to be a Street Defense Student. We are honored to have him here.

 
Sempai Alec Dilallo (Inactive)
Sempai Alec is a major leader with our kids classes.  At only 11 years old, he has earned the honorable title of JR Black Belt, one of only 3 others in the 24 year Street Defense history.

Sensei Robyn Goldstein (Inactive) O'Sensei Robyn was awarded her 4th Degree Black Belt in March 2002. She is currently a student at Tufts University in Boston. She returns to teach at the Hombu during summer and holiday breaks.

Sensei Chuck Wunder (Inactive)
Shihan calls Chuck a "lifer".  That is a good thing.  Sensei Chuck began his training in the early 90's making him a senior Black Belt of the Dojo.  Although not the highest ranked, he is an important link to our infra structure.  Our #5 Black Belt in the history of Street Defense, he is always proud to share his "OLD SCHOOL" roots.

Sensei Paul Dever (Inactive)
Was awarded his Second Degree Black Belt in March 2002. Our resident FX Toughman Champion and Karatecise junkie, Sensei Paul grew up in our dojo and now passes on his wisdom to Street DefenseŽ Kids of all ages.

Sensei Mike Recca (Inactive)
Sensei Mike is the Gentle Giant, at a fighting weight of nearly 300lbs. Mike is great communicator, a dedicated student and a regular in our Full Contact Classes.

Sensei Dan Straus (Inactive)
Is always here in Spirit. He is often in the wild blue yonder International Pilot. Not only is he a wizard with knives, he's the one who can answer "What's that Japanese Word?"!

Sensei Howard (inactive)       and his lovely wife Karen have relocated to Colorado, but still holds the “ Street Defense” methods close to his heart.  Sensei Howard brought his high integrity and even “Higher Intelligence” to our humble system.
